A little over five years ago I got an unexpected call from a childhood friend. Though she had kept in touch with my younger sister pretty regularly, I hadn’t talked to her much at all in the twenty-five years it had been since her family moved away from our small Indiana hometown. Our front yards were only connected by that long, unkept gravel lane for a year, but through a series of joys and trials that year would bond our families together in ways that we never in a million years could have predicted.
She asked if I’d be interested in writing every once in a while for a growing women’s online Bible study ministry, and the truth is I hung up the phone that night and immediately told my husband that there was no way I was doing it. I had four very young children, a hard-working husband with a very irregular work schedule, and I was still trying to find my rhythm and contentment in the throws of some very intense years of motherhood. Oh yeah, and there was that one other very important detail…
I wasn’t a writer.
But God knew the days ahead that I couldn’t yet see. The next thing I knew, my husband was handing me a brand new laptop along with the words, “I think you should really say yes,” and I was calling Angela back – in fear and trembling – committing to the first step in this incredible adventure with Love God Greatly.
Now, five years later, Love God Greatly is reaching women in over 200 nations. You guys, I can hardly even wrap my mind around that, but that’s just like God, isn’t it? He’s the God of exceedingly abundantly, of perfect strength in weakness, of possibility in the midst of the impossible… for the glory of His great name in all the Earth.

He not only tenderly meets with me through my open Bible at my kitchen counter each morning, but right now His power and the truth of His Word is spanning across oceans, people groups, languages – even war zones and the hardest of hearts – and He’s breaking new ground through you and through me to reach the ones who haven’t yet heard…
Right now in Asia…
“In Japan, less than 1% of the population is Christian. Christians and non-Christians alike work long hours and many do not get home early enough to attend a Bible study. Even if they could, there was only one book in the Christian book store specifically designed for women’s Bible studies. LGG provides a framework for helping women study the Bible whether they can attend a weekly meeting or not.” – Laura, Japanese translator
Right now in Europe…
“I live in a country where traditionally only the priests could read and interpret the Bible. It is so empowering to be able to share LGG resources with young Polish students and encourage them that God can speak to them daily too! In Poland everyone ‘believes’ in God, but very few (.3% Evangelical) have truly put their trust in Him or His unfailing Word.” – Krista, Polish translator

Right now in Northern Africa…
Where humanitarian crises are far too common of a reality, where millions have been displaced, and many more are living daily with inadequate shelter, food, and water… “Just recently greater internet access has become available for people in Nigeria. So most women, if not all, rely on these online resources to be able to study God’s Word.” – Ebos, Nigerian translator
Right now in South America…
In Venezuela, where volatile political unrest reigns, where unreached people groups are located deep in the Amazon, where there are still 14 language groups without written Scripture… “When you live in a place where most women don´t own a Bible, where they have never been told that they can and must study the Word of God by themselves, you see women treasure what many take for granted.” – Edurne, Spanish translator

It’s been an incredible week of celebrating what God can accomplish through #OneWoman taking His Word to the ends of the Earth. Thank YOU for celebrating with us and for being such an important part of this vibrant community.
One woman influences her family. One family impacts a community. One community – bonded together – is a powerful force that can change a city; a nation.
All glory and honor to the One who so loved the world that He gave. Oh sweet Jesus, You are worthy.
At His feet,

It’s been an absolutely amazing ride these last several years watching this ministry grow and bless many women with the gospel. Even here in the USA, women who have been unable to attend local church Bible studies are growing in faith while being equipped and inspired by the message Love God Greatly is sharing.
As a facilitator for many groups over these last several years, I have watched transformations happen in the women of the groups. More importantly, God has blessed these women with the tools and community of Love God Greatly so they can be the light in this world.
Heavenly Father, Your name is holy and majestic, and victoriously!! How marvelous are Your works and how humbled I am to be a part of this most amazing ministry, where one woman CAN make a difference through Your love and strength in her!! You are not only taking Your Glorious Gospel to all nations but at the very same time You are uniting women from around the world to come together, lock arms and stand stedfast and confident on Your Word. Thank You. I ask that Your continue to work through this ministry and grow women that are clothed in Your strength and honor and share this incredible message of love and hope. Thank You. I pray that You give those women the courage to answer Your call to become translators, mentors, prayer warriors, encouragers, facilitators, and women to just find a place where they can meet at Your feet and gather with sisters who are united through You. Grow this ministry, mold these women, help us spread Your Word to the ends of the earth, both near and far. And thank You, Lord Jesus, for calling me and guiding me here to be a changed women, grounded and rooted in Your Truths. I pray this in the name above all other names, Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior of all. Amen
I am grateful for LGG this season in my life. I have been in a place in which I have been separated from what’s comfortable(transition) into places that were quite uncomfortable. I found this site and can appreciate as well as relate to the daily devotionals and topics. God still speaks through His word. I am also impressed that this is a community of women. It is awesome seeing women work together, share life with each other but most of all to spread the gospel all over the world. I have been seeking God concerning what He would have me do in this season with the various gifts in which He has so graciously entrusted me with. May God continue to speak through, connect and bless this ministry. Pray with me as I pray for each of you. Blessings
