We see you. We love you. We are here for you.
A message from the Love God Greatly Founder & Director, Angela Perritt:
Sisters, we are heartbroken over the sins that have happened in our nation in our past as well as what has occurred even this past week. We believe one of our responses needs to be that of gathering our community and seeking the Lord, repenting of our sins of not loving each other the way God calls us to, and humbly asking for forgiveness. We seek healing, reconciliation, and restoration.
“…if my people, who belong to me, humble themselves, pray, seek to please me, and repudiate their sinful practices, then I will respond from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14

We have decided to set this Thursday (June 4, 2020) and Friday (June 5, 2020) aside for prayer and fasting and put 2 Chronicles 7:14 in action in our personal lives. I have always said we are a community of women who not only read God’s Word together but live it, now is an amazing opportunity to do just that.
As a community, I know we all desire to live our lives for God’s glory. One of the ways we give God glory is in our unity and love for one another.
“I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, putting up with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you too were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”Ephesians 4:1-6
We also recognize God’s sovereignty and power, and through His Word we acknowledge that in this world, we do not fight against flesh and blood, but instead against the spiritual rulers of darkness. And so we invite you to wage war with us and fight it with the weapons God has equipped us with as believers.
We, as a united community of women, will call upon the Lord in prayer. We will seek His face. We will repent of our sins. We will commit our ways to Him, asking to help us love better and with unity so together we can bring more glory to Him.
And after we spend time in intentional prayer & fasting?
We go and love people the way God calls us to. We love those around us, our families, neighbors, and communities. We love those who look like us and those who don’t. We embrace each other’s beautiful uniqueness and celebrate the bond we have in Christ. We all bleed red and Jesus’ blood was shed for each of us. So we respond in love and gratitude for what He has done on our behalf and go out into the world to love others with no hesitation but rather with urgency and in His grace.
So we invite you to join us, friends! Prayer is powerful because our Lord is powerful and Ruler over all!!
Seeking Him,

Side note: Our team is also going to pick one of the two days and fast. If this is something you would consider coming alongside us doing, we would love to have you join us! At any time, feel free to reach out to us for further support and encouragement.
