We are just a weekend away from the start of our Love God Greatly {Psalm 119} Summer Online Bible Study, and we want to help you begin well! Here are just a few quick things you can do before Monday to get prepared for this exciting next session:
1. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to print off the {FREE} materials we’ve provided for this study! The links to our {Psalm 119} Study Guide and Reading Plan (as well as all of our Psalm 119 Translations) can be found here. The {Psalm 119} Study Guide – in journal format – is a wonderful, interactive way to record what God is teaching you throughout the study.
2. Subscribe to LoveGodGreatly.com. When you subscribe to our website (oh yes, and don’t forget to confirm your subscription!), you will receive an email in your inbox each time a new post is published here on the blog. Scroll down to the very bottom of those emails, and you’ll find links to our {Psalm 119} study materials, as well as a link to download and print our FREE {Psalm 119} Memory Verse Cards – beautiful and brand NEW this session!!! If you haven’t yet subscribed, do it TODAY so you won’t miss a thing!
3. YouVersion is HERE!!! Our {Psalm 119} Reading Plan PLUS M-F Devotional Content is NOW on YouVersion. Click open the YouVersion App: Click on Plans, Browse Plans, then search for Love God Greatly – Psalm 119, but please, PLEASE wait to start the plan until Monday so your reminders will coincide with our Psalm 119 reading schedule!! We’re SO excited to be able to offer YouVersion again this session (thanks for telling us how much you LOVE it!), and we’re beyond grateful for those behind the scenes who work diligently to make this fab feature possible!
4. Jen Thorn gives great insight into our Summer session in her Introduction to Psalm 119 – found in this post. Perfect prep and background for our Monday study start… if you haven’t yet read this, I promise you’ll be blessed!
5. It’s not too late to consider inviting a friend to join us this session! Even though our official enrollment period has ended, it’s never too late to get into God’s Word with Love God Greatly! Maybe, just maybe, God has already laid someone on your heart, and you’ve been meaning to share this study info with her. Don’t wait another day (you’ll never know her answer unless you ask, right?!) – send that message, make that phone call, and help us get even MORE women into God’s Word this Summer!
6. Finally, and most importantly, will you join us in PRAYER? We’re humbly asking God to protect, bless, strengthen and empower us as we seek to embrace what God has for us throughout this study and beyond. We are asking God to prepare and soften hearts to receive truth from His Word, so all who participate might walk away forever changed.

Hi ladies, I’m so excited about this study! Thank you so much for being faithful to your calling. I’ve a question, though. What order do you recommend using your great resources in every day? Does it matter? I have never tried to do the youversion app before and I noticed that it has some great commentary, as does the blog entry for the day, but in order to encounter the Word in a fresh way, so that I am still doing the work of discovering His Word, should I read the blogs after I do the study myself? I’d really appreciate your thoughts on this 🙂

Great question….. each person is different. I don’t use the app , so I read the daily Scripture/write my soap a daily ahead. I read the blog posts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to gain more insight and sometimes I go back and make notes to my soap. I hope you found this helpful.

This is my first time following a Bible study on-line although I’ve read your posts as often as I can. Like Beth, (several entries above), I have 8 children – all grown and 6 married, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grand baby! I just turned 60. I’ve homeschooled since 1986 (and continue with one grandson). There seems to be never-ending activity in our home BUT we are now “empty nesters” since the two youngest have moved out on their own! (All live within 6 miles of us except our youngest son and his wife serving in ministry in Thailand)
God’s Word is my strength and High Tower! He gives me strength to not grow weary and yes, I am seeing the fruit of my Labor!! Looking forward to taking time in Psalm 119!!
